THEOLOGOS...

Learning to trust our spiritual intuition and inner guide...

The inner self

Most of us have experienced the thought that our life is connected with the rest of creation, in more ways than our senses usually acknowledge.

The feeling that we should visit a certain shop or venue for no particular reason, to where a "chance" encounter changes our life's direction.

The phone call that we knew was coming from our good friend George, despite there being no reason for expecting George to call. After all, we hadn't received a call from George for some two years. The call was important enough for us to recognise that we had been sensitive enough to discern its significance for us.

Our awareness that we are being guided into making a decision that goes against all our rational thoughts. The businessman who having studied all the charts and analysed all the information that led his directors to recommend a certain policy, then decides to go with his "gut feeling" and decline to enact the rational and act irrationally.

Another conscious realityFor many people there is an awareness of another conscious reality working within our life, for our benefit. The results of our choice to rely on that over-powering inner impulse to reject common sense and go for the irrational, grows our experience to where we come to rely on that inner impulse to make decisions that defy human reasoning.

The interconnectiveness that signals our growing awareness of our being within a common consciousness of untold wisdom, is that which enables those who choose to live in blind faith of all that flies in the face of human reason, to live in fulfilment of our purpose in being alive.

Our growing sensitiveness to our inner person's guidance, results in our acceptance that within our life there lives an intelligent consciousness of its own existence.

Our human reasoning eventually surrenders its willingness to have its way, to where we acknowledge that our life is no longer our own but the willing reflection of our inner being.

The developing interaction between our physical awareness and our inner guidance will permit us to understand that it is always ourself within our existence with all that is in existence, that we comprehend our oneness with the reality that teaches us that its being is within the life of all human beings.

We also recognise that this inner reflection of life is guiding us to live our life in full expression of our self, in order to serve the needs of other people.

It is through our willingness to listen and act on our inner guidance, that our life takes on a more positive approach towards all our problems. Our fears begin to fade. Our growing confidence in the wisdom that invites us to follows its ways, assists us to more easily overcome our problems and needs of those people with whom we are guided to interact.

Our sacrifices for people are always recognised in our willingness to trust the advice that reveals itself in our growing love for all who are in need of our love. For in our trust we begin to offer practical help to those people whose needs are so often masked by their unwillingness to reveal their fears and needs.

More comfortable with ourselfThe wisdom from within also inspires us to be more comfortable with our willingness to be respectful of ourself, when standing up to those who would abuse our life. For in granting us the wisdom of all ages, our inner person also ensures that we are able to protect ourself against all that would attempt to destroy us. We are equipped to overcome all circumstances that would normally overcome our rational self. For our faith enables us to become patient and in our resilience we grow an awareness that all will be well, whatever the circumstances.

The inner person is always looking to the needs of others, through our loving willingness to be its outreach for those who need help and loving. For we are guided into those situations that will permit our presence to assist those for whom we are expected to be their friend and helper.

In God is found the very face of love finding its path through our life, when we choose to cooperate with all that is our very best friend in love with all human life. He is found in those places where love is absent and in need of our presence, in order to illuminate the life of those for whom love has now arrived.

How economic inequality harms societiesHow economic inequality harms societies... We feel instinctively that societies with huge income gaps are somehow going wrong. Richard Wilkinson charts the hard data on economic inequality, and shows what gets worse when rich and poor are too far apart: real effects on health, lifespan, even such basic values as trust. Richard Wilkinson, is Professor Emeritus of Social Epidemiology at the University of Nottingham, and cofounder of The Equality Trust, a nonprofit that aims to reduce income inequality by educating and engaging the public while supporting political commitment to address the problem. 16m55s [String on the Catholica Forum where the general issue of wealth inequality and this documentary was first discussed 25Jan12] | [WATCH THE VIDEO]
