For our Sunday reflection we have pleasure in presenting a series of prayers reflecting on the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit that have been adapted from a recent series presented in the Daily Prayer in the Classroom program published by the the Catholic Education Office, Parramatta.

Prayer Text:

In the name of our God who is three in one:
The Creator who calls us into existence,
Jesus who calls us to be of service to one another,
The Holy Spirit who calls us to new life,
We pray…

Creator God, as we go about our work today,
we do so with the awareness that without your Divine Presence
here at the centre of our work, and also within ourselves, our work will be empty.

Grace us with your Wisdom — the vision to understand not only what is immediately in front of our noses, but how it fits into the bigger picture of our lives.

Gift us with humour and humility so that not only our immediate work
but our lives long into the future might be graced with the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit. We ask this in the name of our God who is three in one. Amen.
