Brian, that was my impression also. In my parish there was a lot of energy put into the questionaire. After the Oceanic Synod went to rome, I met a bishop I knew well and was shocked to see in him the rejection (more than rejection - answers obviously prepared beforehand) the received. A lot of money on travel could have been saved. What chance do the faithful have if bishops are ignored? "Whatsoever you bind on Earth shal be bound in heaven". Does that mean the Holy Spirit is to be bound along with bishops (gathered in Conncil) and laity?
