The
meaning of Jesus Fr John
says this reflection was first published in Perth's "The
Record" about fifteen years ago and drew passionate responses
both in favour of what he wrote and others wanting to haul him over hot
coals. Today he says he's not quite as angry as he was then with the institution
but the thrust of what he wrote still holds. Rounding out his reflection
from last Saturday, he argues we need to find the Christ-child within
ourselves. It's an argument inviting us to view Jesus as the model for
our lives. [more]

The
meaning of Christmas For the last two Saturdays of the year
Fr John O'Keefe has two seasonal
reflections which invite us to look at the meaning of Christmas through
the eyes of children. He suggests: "One
of the wonderful things about children is that they very soon learn to
ask questions. Asking questions is also an important part of becoming
fully human."[more]

world especially one named "adultism". Fr
John O'Keefe presents a stack of thoughts that are worth pondering
in the lead-up to Christmas. [more]

What
is Spirituality? Due to an error on my part I had originally
scheduled an Easter Sunday reflection here from Fr John O'Keefe.
He had submitted a whole series of reflections which I have been
posting on the discussion forum through Lent and up until Good Friday.
Very late in the piece I discovered that his list did not include
one for Easter Sunday when I thought it did. In its place I am republishing
Fr John's wonderful reflection on Spirituality which we originally
published on 19th September 2006. Fr John is a Vincentian priest
based in Sydney. ...Ed.[more]
John also wrote a series of reflections which we published
through the Sundays of Lent in 2007. Here are links to those reflections...

what does it mean in a Christ-centred context? Fr John
O'Keefe is a Vincentian priest of 49 years standing. In his first
commentary for Catholica Australia he is exploring the question
of what me mean by the term "spirituality" but particularly
within a Christ-centred context. [more]
