Could the Bishops be green with envy & jealousy because people want what the Girl Scouts are offering (cookies & female self-enpowerment) more than what the Bishops are offering (lack of Eucharist & misogyny)??

If the Bishops are truly even-handed, why aren't they pursuing men's religious Orders and the Boy Scouts with equal vigour? Perhaps we could get after them for discrimination on the grounds of sex, but hasn't that been the modus operandi for the hierachy for centuries, so they probably haven't a clue how to really sort out injustice - just to see everything through the lens of sex.

On the same track, when do men get equal time/blame with women for the sins of sexual nature? It does take two to tango, as the saying goes, so why pick on just one?

The Bishops just have to be even-handed and show their interest in the spiritual welfare of all women, not just the women with money and property, ie. Pension funds and religious buildings.

Perhaps the men in dresses have at last realised - more than 40 years after Humanae Vitae - that they have lost the allegiance of most women in the church.

Hence all these attacks on the different women's organisations, including the Girl Scouts.

I'm inclined to believe (as do others) that these young girls-becoming-women are being encouraged to believe that there is life outside of domestic servitude to a dominant male hierarchy. e.g. husband, PP, Catholic hierarchy, strengthened by Catholic religious education, hospitals etc.

They are a thorn in the side of the hierarchs apparently, because they support non-Catholic endeavours such as Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam etc., none of which support the belief that what the Church proclaims is the correct way to deal with the poor, the marginalised , the oppressed etc.

God give them strength!

One of the issues about which a lot has been written. I suppose |I missed it, but I know nothing about them for or against, except that I believe they sell packets of biscuits. No doubt they have a lot more than that going, but why bother them?
