Back in the land of the living after a long pilgrimage... (Main Forum)
Hi all,
Just 'reporting in' after what turned out to be a long and fascinating pilgrimage yesterday to express my gratitude for having known Ted Mason. I left home just before 7.30 am yesterday morning and arrived home about a quarter past seven last night. It must have been close to 11 hours continuous driving. Crashed into bed at 9 o'clock last night and have just re-surfaced at 9.00 am this morning. Eleven priests and one bishop on the altar to give thanks for the life of Ted and I counted about 300 mourners. Seven boys and eighteen grandchildren gives you an indication of the size of the family he left behind. You could have filled a small ocean with the tears of sorrow that Ted has left with his passing. I've been lying in bed for the last hour or so mulling on what I might write. Let me have a shower and formulate it some more. The next instalment of Tom McMahon's Psychology of Priesthood is also in so there will be much to talk about today.
Cheers,
