God only occasionally gives graces to the world. (Main Forum)

by Benikira @, North Coast NSW, Friday, July 20, 2012, 13:08 (306 days ago) @ Journeyman

God only occasionally gives graces to the world. That thinking is locked in ancient outdated theology. God’s grace has flowed upon creation since the very first nanosecond of the creation process began and has never stopped flowing. It is us humans who fail to see God’s graces active within our daily lives luring us forward to become more fully human as spiritual beings.

Thank you Joe. You have brightened the beginning of my day.

It was a relatively cold morning here but the sun has now risen, spreading its warmth. The butcher birds have come to demand their breakfast as have the king parrots and crested pigeons. There is a wallaby stretched on the grass sleeping contentedly in safety.

I believe that here in my little part of this world I am witnessing the flowing of that grace you have mentioned that has flowed upon creation from the beginning, how long ago was it now? Some billions of years. And we human, sentient, thinking beings capable of love, after all the evolutionary unfolding, are very late arrivals.

And I am here alone at the moment in my little part of the world. At least there is no other human presence.

Even Sarah is not here. She has been visiting her mother, family and friends in Nebraska and other parts for the past five weeks. So here for the moment there is just me.

So I am taking a break from my usual daily labour in the plantation and trying to catch up with all on Catholica, including your post, which as I said has brightened the beginning of my day.

Dave Walker in the Year of Grace video had 15 seconds to make his contribution.
I think he said (my hearing is not good even with hearing aids, damn it):

I see grace as the environment in which we live and love .. that in each moment there is a divine presence and our task is to be open to that divine presence.

I can relate to that +Dave. A pity that what you had to say was emasculated by the following of ‘how do we do that?’ Dispensers of grace, bearded magic men and all. And this was delivered by a woman’s voice. Mother Church perhaps. The only way a woman can have a say? God help us.

That’s enough negative stuff! Get back to the positive.

I’m trying, I’m trying.

So there is, I reckon, a divine spark of enlightenment coming from +Dave. Any chance of it being ignited, becoming a burning bush? Nah the other firemen in their firemen’s suits and pointy hats will douse the flame less word gets back to the chief.

I thought you were trying!

I am, I am. But it is hard.

I guess then that it is time for a bit of dadirri LINK since I am here by myself, in my own ‘country’. I need to embrace it. This country, this creation, I mean. Contemplate it. Visit the deep within for a while. I’ve been looking for that Jesus you have mentioned Joe, for a long time. Thought I had him for a while. But I’m not so sure now. So I will take your words with me

Jesus is physically alive and working in each of us today, who desire to carry the story of Jesus forward to future generations, saving us from our own and RCC hierarchical induced ignorance.

And again

God’s grace has flowed upon creation since the very first nanosecond of the creation process began and has never stopped flowing. It is us humans who fail to see God’s graces active within our daily lives luring us forward to become more fully human as spiritual beings.

I’ll remember that.

Thanks again.

Benikira
