National Council of Priests' meeting July 16 - 20 (Main Forum)
The event is receiving a lot less publicity than the last one — perhaps because the last one was held in Sydney (Parramatta actually) and the ABC Religion and Ethics website gave it much coverage and, in turn, that led to coverage in other mainstream media. Their own journal, The Swag [http://theswag.org.au/], though has closed as an openly accessed publication and is available only by subscription now. It would be interesting to know if that decision was made purely on revenue grounds alone of it there was an element within the movement, or putting pressure on from higher levels, that wanted to impose the sort of secrecy that is the centuries' long cultural norm for Catholicism?
