How do we know a 'good' priest? How may we trust our great-grandchildren to any of them?
Who would want children going to Confession?
Bill, I know why you are saying this, but it is sad to think that all priests have been cast into this light when there are so many good priests who are suffering because of the sins/crimes of their confreres.
But this is the dreadful legacy that is left when those who should have done something about these dreadful men didn't for the sake of the good name of the Church. If only they had acted - the good name of the Church would be still intact instead of shredded almost beyond repair.
