When the Cardinal's oath of office requires him to never say anything that would embarass the Church and when B16 calls in the Cardinal of Vienna to chastize him for publicly codemning a fellow Cardinal who was guilty of pedophilia, I must assume that perfidy, perjury and misinformation are now the cornerstones of Vatican policy. The corruption is rampant. The sex scandal as horrific as it is and was constitutes only the tip of the iceberg. There are many good people, good priests, good Bishops, good Cardinals but nothing is done to clean out the evil mess and restore the Church to the goodness of Christ. It is painfully obvious that the organization is corrupt; that canon law perpetuates the organization and does not permit correction or even revelation. Why is it that we all sit around bemoaning the evil and yet we all seem powerless?
