The Lord already gave us a way to celebrate Eucharist outside of the Mass. It is the meal. By reclaiming Eucharist as a meal, we reclaim the power of the priesthood and give ourselves the food we need on the journey of renewal. The idea seems to be too simple for many Catholics to grasp; perhaps it is too personal, non-institutional at first glance. The website on this -www.reclaimingeucharistasmeal.com has had over 22,000 hits, but not many have actually implemented the concept.
