Putting priests on a pedestal (Main Forum)

I am shocked to hear that any priest would say
“if you criticize your priest you criticize God“
or that they would claim ontological superiority.
#### I heard my sons abuser say it, and when another parishioner told me about the second priest saying it every nerve in my body lit up and I this parish St Brigid’s Healesville has been living under a blanket of lies ever since. Dolores I am glad you took that last post well I was afraid you might have thought it was a bit sarky it was not intended to be. I have no desire to attack anybody's personal god or beliefs. But when a person believes because they are afraid not to Believe. I must decide between child safety and hurting an adults Comfort Zone Child safety will trump every time It is not a black and white world and we can all learn something from each other. We need to find a way of teaching our kids to take pride in their individuality and acceptance of other peoples individuality. While it is probably easy for me to say that because I am but A mongrel Christian who finds it easy to reject Dogma The effort of the Micks to Insist people think the same is a blight on humanity. When I find out how to post this attachment you will see that the church promises to teach the vocationers super natural powers. It is a rainy day in Healesville the sun is just starting to show I have ten Kookaburras on the front lawn and a magpie called Hawk tapping on the window for some tucker. It was great talking to you Dolores.

 Cheers Ian Lawther.
