OVERSEAS COMMENT ON SCAPEGOATING (Main Forum)

by Ian Lawther @, Saturday, May 12, 2012, 21:49 (404 days ago) @ georgeh

Georgeh, Clergy Child Sexual Abuse is an Heinous
crime,(popes words not mine). I think it would be great if the hierarchs Led with the TRUTH not AwaY from the truth. With the type of leadership that is clearly demonstrated by the hierarchy there is no such thing as a catholic person that s not hurt by the CSA scandal and the cover up of such by the Hierarchs.I personally know a lot of priests who are hurt by CSA Scandal. But to a T they are also hurting because of the lack of leadership. Archbishop Dennis HART had a victim come forward after 80 years this accounts for one crucifix in the Archdiocese of Melbourne
Photo Art ( RE crucifixtion ad infinitum)There are another 399 to be accounted for. What a shocking record for One Archdioceseand that is a number from them not me so we can expect quite fairly it has been minumized. The Scandal is Real the hurt is real it is not scapegoating by the media it is only truth telling and hopefully our children and our grandchildren will be wiser than us And know that no one has a right to claim to be closer to god than they themselves are. While these highly educated ontologically superior Hierarchs sit around doing nothing about a scandal that has brought about so much hurt in the world thier Hindu counterparts have managed to come up with acode of conduct that accords cows more respect than these bosses are willing to even acknowledge our children and the vulnerable are entitled to. The Madam Cumberage (spelling) a spin off of the
Nolan report in England has come up with a code of ethics in England that reccommends case workers and parish support plans And a timeline of a few months to complete dealing with a complaint. Melbourne Archdiocese can take upwards of five years. No there is no scapecgoating of the church, maybe?--- hanging and then drawing and quartering a few to teach thousands is appropriate. On alighter note I downloaded onto my kindle Ken Folletts ‘Pillars of the Earth’ at Lilydale Station when I was going to Flinders street I stopped reading when I got to Brighton station ( not even the right line) three hours late for that appointment , but what a fantastic story.
