I just wanted you to know that I still care but to be honesty I have lost almost all ability to think and discuss spiritually: so little of it makes sense at the moment for me. It's there, but I just can't and don't even want to talk about it.

And don't be concerned about what others think of you and your inner life, what the hell would any of us know about it. I know you want and need to express it but for us to evaluate it, that's another thing. We can't do that. I suppose we can but share what we each experience and believe and hopefully the likes of yourself and 'others' who try to express such insights will get some feedback as companions on a journey rather than evaluators.

St Francis' brothers all thought he was a little off the planet towards the later years of his life and he may well have been - one foot in the beatific vision and the other still on the earth.
