Thursday, 08 March 2012 Introducing Don Fausel...  Dear Friends, It's a pleasure today to introduce a new commentator to the pages of Catholica. Dr Don Fausel is a professor emeritus at Arizona State University, where he worked for thirty years. This is the first of three commentaries by Dr Don Fausel which will explore different aspects of the issue of artificial birth control in light of the current controversy in the United States between the Obama administration and the Bishops of the United States. In this first commentary, Don focuses on the Bishops' strategy in dealing with the issue that was set in motion by the decision of the department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to require employers to provide contraception to their female employees. Don is not totally new to Catholica. His book "From Blind Obedience to a Responsible Faith: The Memoir of a Cradle Catholic" has been available in the Catholica Marketplace since December 2010.
