Sunday, 13 February 2011 Wrong links like Original Sin... Dear Friends, Just as none of us can go back and change our parents, we have to live with their sins, I've discovered something almost as bad. Once I send out the emails each day I can't got a get them back out of your inboxes and change any mistakes I made. Yesterday I made a big one and didn't get any of the links correct for Bill Farrelly's commentary. I've included the correct ones below and will send this email to bother our daily subscribers and those who only receive the weekly bulletin along with my apologies. It's easy enough for me to fix things on the website but screwing up the email is akin to being saddled with some indelible sin. Please don't be too hard on me. I think it is the first time since we've been publishing where I've got every single link to an article wrong. (For your general knowledge, there are three links to the daily commentary in each email: (i) clicking on the graphic banner for the story; and then (ii) and (iii) are two separate ones at the base of my message. I introduced that to try and prevent this happening.) Today, John Chuchman's reflection on sexual morality cuts to a bottom line insight of Jesus and, indeed, all the major religions as they interpret 'the Golden Rule'. At the bottom line of all of our discussions, all of our thinking about our sexuality, we have to learn to respect ourselves, and to respect others. Everything else flows out of that.
Wishing you a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life and in our world. Catholica |
