Do you believe the Creed? Do you think it important?

Dear Friends,

Commentary Headline

Today I'm publishing the recordings of the addresses Kerry Gonzales and I gave at the Sutherland Spirituality in the Pub on Wednesday evening. These addresses led on to a discussion that went on for well over an hour — and for some of extended further over coffee in another part of the Sutherland United Services Club later. What do we really believe these days? You don't need to be the Archangel Gabriel these days to know that in the privacy of our own homes many Catholics today question stuff that was "holy writ" in the minds of our parents' generation. It's not stuff that people shout from the street corners but in the company of friends people do 'open up' about what they really believe these days. It will be interesting to see how wide a discussion this opens up in the more public space of the internet.

Wishing you a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life and in our world.
