Pumpkin Time!
Dear Friends,  Pumpkin Time has arrived. Tonight at midnight I'll be pointing our web address, www.catholica.com.au — to direct you, and all visitors to our location on a new, far bigger server with much more bandwidth. Hopefully there will be minimal disruption for any of you and, for many, some improvements in speed and accessibility. It may take up to 24 hours for the address location change to fully propagate through the world wide web. If you have any difficulties you can type in or click this direct link: http://www.catholica.com.au/. (You can check it now if you like.) I expect the forum will be inaccessible for about two hours from midnight. I need that time to transfer the last few posts over to the new server and to do some final checks on the databases before re-opening it to you all. For many there will be no delay with the changeover. Don't get confused though THE OFFICIAL ADDRESS for Catholica remains: www.catholica.com.au and that address should be fully operational again for everybody within 24 hours.
Today's reflection from Pewter in a sense sums it all up. Church as we've long known it simply "ain't working anymore" for most. People are searching for something that speaks more honestly and openly. Something that isn't some game about trying to impress God, the bishop or the pope; not some game of dress-ups; or running around trying to prove how we all know God's rules and the rest of humanity are infidels and sinners. Pewter and one of his mates share a few thoughts over a glass of port after the Vigil Mass.
