A look at the extreme Catholics!

Dear Friends,

Commentary Headline

A look at the "extreme Catholics" — it sounds a bit like an invitation to join some "extreme sport" doesn't it? Well, it isn't. Instead today's lead commentary comes from veteran religious affairs journalist, Alan Gill, who recalls the only visit to Australia of the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in 1974 and also the activities of another "extreme Catholic", Hutton Gibson — the father of Hollywood heart throb, Mel Gibson. Enjoy. By the way, be prepared to turn your speakers down. On the main commentary page I've included the main flash file from Hutton Gibson's website. You might like to hear the sound play through once but after that it gets a bit monotonous. Unfortunately I can't access the flash file to control the sound. <Link to Alan Gill's article>

PS: I had hoped to bring you today the interview Amanda and I recorded last week with Ted Mason at the Shalom House of Prayer at Carcoar. Unfortunately I've not yet finished the editing of the short video mini-documentary I want to present with the interview.

Wishing you a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life and in our world.
