A new masthead for Catholica and something to inspire for a Friday
Dear Friends,
You might notice we have a new masthead on Catholica from today. The new logo reflects the growing diversity of our readership around the world. The readership in Australia is now less than 50% with the next highest proportion coming from North America at a little over 30% (it's hard to give a precise figure as the proportions vary according to whether one is measuring hits, visits, unique visitors, bandwidth downloaeded (obviously regions with broadband are favoured there), or page reads. The other 20% is fairly evenly distributed around the rest of the world. Surprisingly, at least for me, we do generate a significant volume of interest from within China.
And for a lead commentary today we have an inspiring piece from Ted Schmidt, Editor of new catholic times sensus fidelium in Canada. Watch the concert of Bruce Springsteen which Ted bases his commentary around — it's just one song and we provide a YouTube version on our website — and judge for yourself if this is "spiritual" or even "liturgical". <Link to Ted Schmidt's commentary> |
