The importance of an independent media…
Dear Friends,
A bit more serendipity today. It's a public holiday here on the East coast of Australia and I have to confess I slept in and was way behind schedule anyway. I hadn't even begun the layout for Tom Lee's commentary today. I did edit the final episode of the conversation with Adel Ghali last night so at least that was ready to go. Cliff Baxter though rang me to alert me to an important address by Bill Moyers which we have now placed on the forum. It's an address delivered in the United States about the freedom of the press. What he has to say though perhaps applies with even more force within the Catholic Church. Apologies to Tom Lee but I am sure Tom would be the first to be supportive of the importance in drawing attention to Bill Moyers' address. You do have a feast of audio-visual material for reflection though and the Bill Moyer's address does display the text of what he is saying in large subtitles for those with hearing impairments. <More>
