The Experience of God…
Dear Friends,
We're extremely gratified here at all the support we seem to be attracting. As mentioned on the forum last night I took a look at our statistics for the first time since the end of last month yesterday and was a little gobsmacked to learn that we seem to be really surging ahead in the number of visitors we are attracting each month. What is even more pleasing is that it seems to be a consistent daily increase rather than being driven by particularly provocative news stories. Could I extend publicly our heartfelt thanks for the support our efforts seem to be generating. We don't pretend to have all the answers but we do detect this hunger out there in the wider world for the sort of discussion we're endeavouring to encourage on spirituality, faith and belief and how this is delivered through religious practice. I'll provide a fuller report at the end of the month but we're well on track to signifantly exceed all our previous statistical measures and should exceed the 10,000 unique visitor figure for the month for the first time. If the current trend continues we should achieve our goal for this year of doubling our reach by about June or July rather than December. Thank you particularly to all of you who have taken up our invitation to "spread the word". Your work has had a significant effect on the global figures of our continuing success.
Much thanks has to be extended to our lead commentators. Today's commentary from Dr Andrew Kania is a beauty. He's looking at some really fundamental issues about how we are invited to intersect with the Divine in an adult way. It intersects beautifully with some thoughts Fr Alex Caughey shared on the forum yesterday when he wrote "Religious practice is not faith!". I'm sure many will find it good material to be reflecting on over Easter. <Read Dr Kania's reflection>

Publishing over Easter: Hopefully if I can get myself organised today I'll be able to take a break from the daily responsibilities over the three days of Easter by preparing Daniel Gullotta's Good Friday reflection and the next instalment of Tom McMahon's reflection on priesthood, which I'll publish on Sunday. We will have a break from publishing on Saturday but there is sure to be some discussion in our forums. On Easter Monday, as already telegraphed, we'll begin the serialisation of the last chapter of Tom Lee's manuscript. I expect this will raise much interest over the coming weeks.
