A proposed Constitution for the Catholic Church… Dear Friends, What a marathon year it has been for us but we have finally made it to this point where I can now look forward to an extended break from the daily challenge of seeking to make Catholica interesting reading. From now until the end of January we will publish just one email and lead commentary each Sunday and we'll be back at the beginning of February refreshed and, with the continued blessings of You Know Who, hopefully able to extend our reach even further during 2008. We did end up establishing a new record for the number of monthly visitors in December but didn't quite make the 8,000 milestone that I was hopeful we might break through. On all scores though we are very pleased with the growth in readership, page-reads, subscribers and forum membership. Could I extend special thanks to all our lead commentators and also to you our readers. Without your loyalty and the continued growth that comes from you introducing and welcoming new readers to our site what we are endeavouring to do here would simply not be possible. To conclude the series by Professor Leonard Swidler we publish the Appendix to his series of talks on Democracy in the Catholic Church: A proposed Constitution for the Catholic Church. <Read the proposed Constitution for the Church> |
