Surviving our mistakes…

Dear Friends,

I love this line in Bishop Robinson's meditation this morning: "The promise of Jesus Christ was not that the church will never make mistakes, but that it will survive its mistakes." Oh, how interesting it would be to be timetransposed to the year 2500CE and look back as to how history will look back on our period of the history of the Church or, even better to be timetransported to "the end of time" and be able to look back and see how stewardship measured up against all other periods in history? Would we do things differently were be able to do that? Enjoy this last Sunday of Advent in what seems like an extended Christmas holiday break. <Read Bishop Robinson's meditation>
