Some Christmas and end-of-year thoughts…

Dear Friends,

It was good to take a break yesterday. That brought the total to 18 days since the beginning of February when we haven't published a lead commentary. We'll now run through to a New Year's Day edition and then take a break for the whole of January although next week Amanda and I will be spending the week in the country but publishing will continue normally throughout the week. Our forums will remain open through all the holidays and through January.

As this looks as though it might be my last or second-last commentary for the year I've tried to provide a bit of a summary of our year and also tried to marshall my thoughts for a Christmas wish and prayer. <Read the commentary>
