Taking a breather!

Dear Friends,

I'm trying to take another "breather" today. There won't be a lead commentary today but there is more than enough to whet the appetite with discussions on our forums if you are looking for thought-provoking conversation in the wake of reception of the petition by the Australian Bishops. Tomorrow, I am pleased to say we have a new female voice providing the lead commentary. Her name is Kerry Gonzales and she's sharing some thoughts on a couple of books she's been reading lately. She writes: "These writers do not present extremist views, intent on destroying the church, but both present extremely well written and cogent attempts to awaken the Catholic Church to a new understanding of issues that are relevant to large groups of believers and are critical to the development of a truly inclusive and vibrant church."
