Petition makes it to Bishops' agenda…

Dear Friends,

Headline banner

The big news today is that the Petition on Ministry has been accepted for discussion on the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference agenda. The news came through earlier this morning and there has already been some discussion of the significance of this development on both the Catholica forum and on the CathNews discussion board.

As a result of these developments I've not been able to prepare Peregrinus' commentary today and will hold it over until tomorrow. He is beginning a two or three part investigation of the relationship between Science and Religion which will be most interesting. In the meantime I would direct you to the reflections and comments that a number of people have written on both of these discussion forums. In particular I recommend Ian Elmer's lengthy commentary which he has posted on the CathNews discussion board.
