Dear friends,
Farmer Jack makes a return
to the pages of Catholica
today. You'll find him in conversation with Pope Benny on the meaning
of Hell. Is there such a thing as time in Hell? Do the words "eternity"
and "forever" have any meaning in a state of being that
is outside time? Is Hell populated by whole armies of people dancing
in the fires? These are questions we bet you've never thought about
but Jack and the sheep have! [Watch

I'm also pleased to announce that Milly (Amanda McKenna) and I
are getting married tomorrow evening. This ceremony marks a long
engagement and introduction that began for both of us across the
width of the Australian continent via the CathNews Discussion
Board over five years ago and has entailed a lengthy annulment process
for both of us which was successfully concluded late last year.
We are pleased to be able to celebrate this Sacrament and milestone
in the company of at least some of the friends from far-flung parts
of Australia who have been part of this cyber romance and what,
for both of us, is a bit of a fairytale ending to some pretty traumatic
events in both of our lives spread over decades.
Our wedding is taking place in the midst of a fairly busy work
schedule for both of us and in consequence of that I expect only
minor changes to the publishing schedule of Catholica
in the coming week or so. We are awaiting other work-related developments
that may necessitate a trip to Europe later in the year and we intend
having a break and honeymoon in conjunction with that trip. Our
discussion forums
will remain open even should there be no lead commentaries published
on some days.
Best wishes for a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life,
and in our world,
Brian Coyne
