Welcoming God into our presence right now!
Monday, 18th December 2006

Dear friends,

Bishop Gumbleton

Bishop Tom Gumbleton in his weekly column for NCR last week made the point that Advent is not celebrating the coming of Jesus into the world 2000 odd years ago. It's a season to welcome God into our presence right now — in 2006.

This same message is at the heart of the intimate reflection Dawn gives us today where she describes her personal faith journey. Trying to explain the real presence of God in our lives is not particularly easy. Dawn gives us much food for thought.

Have a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life, and in our world.

RUTH'S VIEW...

AvatarOn the call by the Pope's preacher for a day of penance and fasting to ask forgiveness for the abuse scandals... Ruth supports the call for this gesture of sorrow and apology. [more]
