Discussing a societal scourge...
Friday, 24th November 2006

Dear friends,

Rosemary's commentary yesterday on the meaning of "Home" has certainly triggered some interesting further contributions in our forum. It certainly took me back to examining some stuff that I've been vaguely thinking about for a long time.

I have found it fascinating reading the different formative experiences of others in our community in the sense of home they have.

This morning I'm republishing an article on slander that I came across about fifteen years ago and which was originally published in 1890. I think it has particular relevance to this propensity of an element in the Church to be forever running around seeking to elevate their own stature at the expense of everyone else. It is a blight on society and, I suggest, on our Church. The writer of this article correctly identified what a societal scourge the behaviours are.

Have a great day wherever you happen to be ... in life, and in our world.

SPECIAL COMMENTARY...

DID YOU KNOW...

AvatarDid you know Following the recent discussion on torture in our forum, did you know when the Church herself outlawed torture. [more]
