SISTER FERALIA'S LETTER TO THE SISTERHOOD...

The wattle will bloom again after our recent fire!

Sister FeraliaTo all Sisters, Hi!

Sister Feralia reporting again.

I am sure that all will join me in thanking Father 'Leaper' Leppington for joining us in the Blue Mountains for the Zoroasterian Fire Ceremony.

It was seen kilometres away and made the evening TV News.

So spracht Zarathushtra!

The way Father Leppington was able at such short notice to grab his guitar and throw some bean shoots into his briefcase for sustenance was remarkable.

His assistance in joining the Mountains Volunteer Bushfire Brigade in their control of the aftermath is also truly appreciated by our Congregation.

The conflagration unfortunately destroyed the Congregation Fuel Reserve in our former swimming pool.

The loss of the petrol, which we had hoped to offer to residents at discount prices, is a setback, but we shall battle on.

We also regret the passing of Sister Bernadino, the Petrol Pool Precentor.

It was unfortunate that the fire ceremony was located in close proximity to her apostolate.

We can, however, recall her words at the opening of the ritual:

"Ahura Mazda's God Spirit, Spenta Mainyu, moulds and makes many a new human being in his heavenly workshop. The sublimest specimen of his workmanship is the woman of chastity. A chaste woman is the most ideal woman, the queen of the world's womanhood. Great in the nobility and pride of race is the community where chastity abounds. Chastity and modesty are the most precious ear-rings that a woman can wear."

The admission of our guest speaker, Julia Drover from the Johns Hopkins University to hospital is also a matter of regret, but her abstract on Aristotle and the Golden Mean was recovered from her remaining clothing and later presented to the conference, ex parte.

The abstract was a real challenge. We were presented with Aristotle's notion that there were womanly virtues and manly virtues. I ask you, Sisters, does this mean that women were less perfect than men?

I can say, however, that we appreciated Father Leppington's manly virtues as he spoke to the Town Council solicitor. I am sure that the town will regenerate from its destruction. Regeneration is part of bush tradition. The wattle will bloom again!

Female virtue will arise from the ashes!

Until next time,

Feralia

IshySister Feralia is the face of the New Feminism, a healthy antidote to the testosterone-driven ecclesial community of Father Farzenheim and the Fathers of Divine Wrath.
